Conference Aim

The MESM'2005 International Middle Eastern Multiconference on Simulation and Modelling is the seventh conference after the successful start of the first MESM'99 held in Jordan and is organized by De Montfort University and members of the European Simulation Society. One of the major aims of this conference is to bring people from various parts of the Middle East in contact with colleagues working in modeling & simulation from around the world (e.g..Europe, USA, Canada, Far East etc.). The other aim is to establish a local technical society in the Middle East and to integrate these into a wider Network of Simulation Excellence. This conference, is sponsored by, De Montfort University (UK), Ghent University , EUROSIS, ETI as well as IEEE UKRI - SPC

MESM'2005 covers a wide range of simulation subjects in order to capture the general thrust of simulation research at present being done in the Arab World. The site for this year's event is Monastir, Tunisia.

As participants from other Arab countries had difficulties obtaining visas for Tunisia, the MESM 2005 committee decided to move the actual location of the conference to Porto to hold the MESM as a co-located event with ESM'2005, which is held at the University of Porto, Portugal from October 24-26. You can find hotel information on that website and links to the ESM2005 programme. As member of the MESM2005 conference you will be also able to attend the ESM2005 sessions. The MESM2005 FINAL PROGRAMME can now be downloaded here.
