Troy Night Out
The final Friday of each month is Troy Night Out, when a number of local merchants (over fifty restaurants, art galleries and storefront boutiques)stay open late. Since GAME-ON 2011 happens to fall on September 30th, we have an opportunity to "Enjoy Troy" downtown. Later in the evening, check out the TNO After Party, located at Daisy Bakers, where local DJs and VJs spin techno music to a young crowd.

Saratoga
If you are looking for an interesting day trip, consider historic Saratoga, home of the Saratoga Race Course. It opened on August 3, 1863, and is the oldest organized sporting venue of any kind in the United States. Although the track won't be open at the time of the conference, there is still plenty to do in Saratoga, including fine dining, a racing museum, and any number of upscale boutiques. Also noteworthy is the Saratoga National Historic Park, the site of the Battle of Saratoga during the Revolutionary War. You can also expect to find terrific night life in Saratoga. Browns Taproom: Located on River Street right by the Hudson River, Browns Taproom is one of the region's premier microbreweries. With great pub food and a number of freshly brewed beers and ales on tap, Brown's is usually the first place the locals will suggest if you ask them for a good place to eat.

Daisy Baker's: For more upscale dining, try Daisy Baker's. Now occupying the ballroom of what was once a private residence, Daisy Baker's offers a contemporary menu in a lush 19th century setting. It is also the home of the Troy Night Out Afterparty, the place to go for techno music and video DJing.

Yoshi Sushi: A traditional sushi bar and Japanese restaurant, Yoshi features top quality, skillfully prepared sushi. If you visit the restaurant, make sure to try out the hirame ponzu, Yoshi-san's signature dish.

Ala Shanghai: Offering some of the best and most authentic Chinese food in the region, Ala Shanghai specializes in Wuxi and Shanghai (JianSu and ZheJiang)-style fare. One of our favorites.
